About this tour

Day 1

Start our walk to the village through beautiful ricefield landscapes;

We’ll enter the forest and follow a stream towards the village;

We’ll meet with the local inhabitants and split the group over different families;

A walk to a waterfall above the village.

Dinner and overnight stay with a village family (basic comfort*).

 

Day 2

We join the villagers to explore the mountains and the surrounding countryside.

We participate in seasonal activities: harvesting mountain rice, working in a vegetable plantation or picking and fishing ... Lunch together.

Then a walk back to the valley and overnight stay in a hotel.

 

*Basic comfort:
floor mats, mosquito nets, thin mattress, pillow. Bathing water and toilets outside. For more comfort, please bring your own sheets.
Mid-November to mid-March, temperatures can be chilly at night. We can use blankets lent by the host families or bring a light sleeping bag. Or, if you prefer, you can buy a blanket at the local market for 2-3 € and donate it afterwards to the family that welcomes you.

What is included
  • all transportation: private minibus
  • meals: 2 lunches, 2 dinners

  • entrances fees to all sites visited
  • 10$ contribution to Solidarasia solidarity fund for Laos (5$ per person and per day of visit)
  • the contribution to Pavie communal fund* (5$/per)

* the communal fund: not all villagers can welcome you. So we set up a communal fund that is used by the community to finance works the village need. Doing that, all the community can benefit from your visit.
