About this tour

Day 1

Arrival in the end of the afternoon in Battambang, a city which has kept an old-fashioned charm inherited from French Indochina.

Installation in a small hotel in the city center. If you prefer, we can offer you to sleep in the welcome house of a local association.

In the evening, we go to the show at the Phar Ponleu Selpak music, drawing and circus school. This association, founded by former refugees, offers education and new perspectives to the city's young people.

Day 2

All day, we walk through Battambang and its surroundings.

Visit to a rice pancake factory.

Meeting with families of artisans and lunch with them.

In the afternoon, we will take a walk on the Phnom Sampeu mountain.

Back in town, we meet a person working with microcredits, who will help us understand how Cambodians raise capital through loan systems.

* It is possible to add several days to rest. The countryside is peaceful here. There are very nice hotels, a little outside the city, for a good budget.

**We can arrange a bamboo train ride, a small bamboo trailer placed on the rails that villagers use to go around.
