About this tour
Day 1
We’ll spend the day in the floating villages of Tonle Sap Lake where we will meet the inhabitants and discover the beautiful sites of the lake.
This visit is in collaboration with Osmose, an organisation working to conserve the ecological heritage of the Tonle Sap Lake, who will educate you on the lake’s fragile ecosystem.
Visit Prek Toal bird sanctuary (possibility for travels between November and March).
Ride canoe through the village, meeting with various personalities from the village.
Stay overnight in the village of Prek Toal or Perk Kanteil, in a family homestay (basic comfort *).
Day 2
Travel on a private boat upstream on the Sangker river to the town of Battambang.
We’ll cross a stunning, flooded landscape and spend more time on floating houses.
Arrival in Battambang at the end of the day.
Transfer to a hotel in the city centre where we’ll stay overnight.
* Basic comfort: floor mats, mosquito nets, thin mattress, pillow. Bathing water and toilets outside. For more comfort, you can bring your own sheets.
