Mondolkiri, the Cambodian Highlands
An unusual journey, in a little known area of Cambodia
A short description
Take some time during your visit in Cambodia to discover a region remarkably isolated until very recently. For many people in Mondulkiri, roads and motorbikes did not exist until 2000. Instead, they traveled on the backs of their elephants.
During our visit we’ll meet personalities fighting to preserve the cultural identity of the Phnong ethnic group, as well as former mahouts working to conserve nature.
Spend a day in some of the last areas with primary forests in Cambodia.
