A short description

Snuol is a district very near the Vietnamese border, in the northeast of Cambodia.

 

This is an area not frequented by tourists who only cross it to go and watch the dolphins of the Mekong River in Kratie or the Mondulkiri forests.

 

Spend a day with villagers in charge of defending the forest areas around their village.

About this tour

Day 1

Road to Snuol district.

Meeting with a group of villagers who organizes patrols in the surrounding forests to protect areas threatened by human exploitation and illegal logging.

Walk in the forest and lunch with the villagers, an opportunity to discuss the exploitation of nature, the region's rapid development, concessions given to multinational companies...

Back on road in late afternoon to Sen Monorom, Kampong Cham or Kratie (2-3 hours).

Overnight stay at the hotel.
